One day I realised I was completely drowning in my grief of not being able to have children. My husband said I think it’s time you sought professional help. It was important to me to find a counsellor that specialised with infertility issues. I searched online and found AP Counselling.

 

I instantly resonated with Anna having understood the life of being childless not by choice. I also discovered that Anna was a Christian which was very important to me. My expectations were that I just did not want to feel like I did any longer, I didn’t want to cry every day anymore, I just wanted help!

After my first session with Anna I had hope back, hope that I wouldn’t have to live in my grief anymore, that it wouldn’t be all consuming. Anna gave me hope that I would be able to heal and be able to respond to people without tears, without the pain.

 

My expectations were far exceeded and continue to be so in each session with Anna.

 

Anna listens and draws out of me the hurts, the thought processes I have and she truly understands what it’s like to live with infertility and how much it permeates our lives. I felt heard for the first time in a long time.

Anna understood that my faith was an important part of the healing process for me and starts and ends each session with prayer. Anna has provided numerous strategies and resources to help me reach my goals.

If you are struggling and feeling alone in your grief and experience, I would highly recommend Anna, she is so lovely, caring, full of wisdom and encouragement.
